Game day recipes are my favorite part of any game day! With the BIG game approaching, it’s time to think about the menu! Whether you’re inviting a crowd or watching with your family, these BEST Game Day Recipes will inspire you.
Game Day Food runs the gamut from dips and appetizers to grilled entrees to easy-to-eat desserts. Here is some Football Food that makes great Tailgate Snacks as well as for noshing on while watching any sporting event!
Why You Must Make:
My family is full of die-hard Green Bay Packers fans. Even our dogs have been known to wear (affiliate link) Packer jerseys. Packer Christmas lights wrap around the perimeter of our French doors until the final game. I won’t even mention the lovely knick knacks in green and gold cannot be disturbed before the season ends. Ever see a Green Bay Packer gnome? A delightful decorative number. Sigh.
- There also must be a few snacks set out in front of the TV on game day.
- It’s always fun to try new recipes when you invite friends over to watch a big game.
- Nervous energy needs some fuel and I have some delicious football food to share today!
- I hope you’ll find a recipe or two to try! Besides game day, I’m going to save a few of these to serve my book club. Maybe I’ll luck out and we’ll read a football-themed book. Ha, that will never happen! Wishful thinking. Go, Pack, Go!
Frequently Asked Questions
Finger food is always a hit as are recipes that can be kept warm in a slow cooker so that they can be eaten any time during the game or at halftime.
Chips, Salsa, Queso, and Guacamole are frequently on the menu along with wings, chili, meatballs, and nachos. You can’t forget dessert, so think of football-shaped cookies, cupcakes frosted in team colors, or bars and brownies that don’t need silverware to eat.

Hi Liz, looks like your house is the place to be, great round-up of recipes.

Those Italian Cheese Balls are indeed the Bomb! GREG
These dips and bites all look perfect for game day! I want to watch the game at your house! 😉
What an amazing line-up. We are having a couple of neighbours and some friends in for Super Bowl Sunday. To be honest, I’m more excited about the food and the US commercials, they are always a hit for me. I’ll have a wood fire going in the living room and some wine chilling and all the ladies will be upstairs enjoying each other’s company while the guys watch the game and pat eachother on their behinds (that’s what they do in football, right?) I wasn’t surprised to see your elegant crostinis with fig, gruyère and blue cheese! They look wonderful.
I’d eat those enchilada bites right now for breakfast:@)
Go Packers!!!
