Fruit Kabobs with White Chocolate Mascarpone Dip
Fruit Kabobs with White Chocolate Mascarpone Dip makes the perfect grand finale for a Kebab-fest or any summer gathering! I’ve teamed up with my Progressive Eats friends to bring you a delectable, kabob-themed meal!
These fruit kebabs (or kabobs) are super easy to put together and always impressive! A platter of rainbow fruit skewers is just calling you to dive in! Especially paired with white chocolate. They’re swoon-worthy!
Why This Recipe Works
- Fresh, seasonal dessert is a perfect summer dessert and this combination of fruit and a white chocolate dip is deceptively simple.
- You eat with your eyes and the vibrant colors are irresistible.
- A white chocolate dip gives a decadent touch for those who don’t want a healthy dessert.
- It’s highly adaptable! Add squares of pound cake, marshmallows, or other fruit.
Ingredient Notes:
Use the most flavorful fruit of the season. But remember that some fruit like apples, pears, and bananas will oxidize or brown when exposed to air. Either add these right before serving or look for other options.
I like using:
- Large, sturdy berries like strawberries, blackberries or plump blueberries
- Pineapple
- Melon like canteloupe, watermelon, honeydew melon
- Seedless red or green grapes
- Bananas (add to the end of the skewer right before serving)
- Kiwi, mangoes, papaya
- Fresh cherries
- Citrus like orange or mandarin segments
Expert Tips
- Adding a fruit dip, like my white chocolate mascarpone dip, make these skewers a fun, interactive dessert. A caramel dip or dark chocolate dip would also pair deliciously with these kabobs.
- Feel free to thread your favorite fruit, even interspersing squares of pound cake or marshmallows.
- If you thread the fruit in the same order for all the skewers, they look so nice lined up on a tray.
- Definitely serve with this splendid dip. Made with melted white chocolate, cream, mascarpone, and a splash of vanilla, it’s a piece of cake to throw together and even easier to make disappear!
- PRO-Tip: If you do use fruit that oxidizes (turns brown when exposed to air), dip them in Sprite or 7-up and the citric acid will slow the process. Or just add those fruits right before serving.
Frequently Asked Questions
To make rainbow kabobs or skewers, thread the fruit in the order the colors appear on the rainbow. Do you remember ROY-G-BIV from science class? Those letters stand for the colors of the rainbow: Red-Orange-Yellow-Green-Blue -Indigo (dark blue)-Violet.
I used a half strawberry, canteloupe cube, green grape, pineapple cube, a plump blueberry, blackberry, then a bing cherry.
I like piling them up on a white platter with all the skewers going in the same direction. You could also use a half a cantelope, cut side down, and insert all the skewers into the rind (you may need to use both halves).
If you don’t use fruit that will oxidize, like apples, bananas, pears, etc. the skewers can be made up to 12 hours in advance. They taste best served cold.

Fruit Kebabs with White Chocolate Mascarpone Dip Recipe
A dreamy white chocolate mascarpone dip that pairs beautifully with fresh fruit kebabs

- Cubed fruit, berries, cherries and grapes to skewer
- 6 ounces white chocolate, chopped
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 8 ounces mascarpone cheese
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Instructions
- Thread fruit onto wooden skewers. Place on serving platter.
- Put chopped white chocolate and ½ cup of the heavy cream into a microwave safe bowl. Microwave for 30 second increments, stopping and stirring till melted and smooth. Set aside to cool to room temperature.
- Whisk the other ½ cup of the cream with the mascarpone cream till smooth. Whisk in vanilla, then add cooled white chocolate.

Use caramel or chocolate sauce to dip, too.

Anything with fruit and white chocolate goes quickly at our house, and it is gorgeous to boot! So excited to try this recipe! Thanks for sharing!
What is it about fruit kebobs that people just love…you can make a fruit bowl and at the end of the evening there is still fruit in it, but if you put the same amount of fruit into kebobs, there is nary a one left halfway through the party? And a great dip, they disappear even faster. You have a real winner here, so beautifully presented.
I love the combination of mascarpone and fruit. Of course, the white chocolate doesn’t hurt and the whipping cream makes the dip so fluffy and light. Fruit is always a great finish to a meal, and with this fabulous dip, even better.
These fruity kebabs are so colourful, and are a healthy dessert.
Liz, I think this is the greatest way to serve a dessert to a crowd! You could get them all done ahead and whip them out of the fridge just before serving – my kind of party food! I love the combination of white chocolate and mascarpone, but hadn’t thought of it for a dip, brilliant! A version of this just may show up on one of my Chocolate Monday posts 😉
It’s always more fun on a stick! 🙂 The dip makes it even more special 🙂
Love these fruity kebabs, dear! They make great party dish! xoxo
I love snacking on fresh fruit this time of year. Adding the dip makes them perfect for parties! Love this idea!
Think I could skip the other courses and dive into dessert at the Berg residence =) A festival of fruit and pound cake on a skewer looks to be grrrreat. Especially with the white chocolate mascarpone dip. I do admire your fortitude in preferring straight fruit…P.s. I credited you as the inspiration for my Glute-Free Japanese Matcha and Lavender (and White Chocolate) Cake.
Kebabs always seem like grown up kid food and who wouldn’t want to be a kid again? Perfect way to start summer.
That dip sounds amazing! Beautiful kebabs too! I love all the colors.
Love this healthier dessert with a sinful dash of mascarpone dip, that stuff is addictive!
Fun summer treat!
These are gorgeous and will make a great healthy snack!
I like the way you threaded the fruit―the colors are beautiful. The dip is a gem, and I’d need to be reminded of skinny tips to keep from indulging too much. Lovely work!
I’m bringing treats to Bible study tomorrow and these fruit kebabs would be just perfect. Love that white chocolate dip! Now if only I had you to make them for me ;).
How pretty. These should be called ‘Rainbow Kebabs’ as they have all the colours of the spectrum. I do love fresh fruit and this is a beautiful way to present it and I’m loving the sound of the white chocolate mascarpone dipping sauce xx
I would not be leaving the side of that dip bowl. People might have to reach for it over or around me, but I won’t leave the station! Such a delicious idea!
It’s funny that in recent experience, parties with a fruit-based dessert usually mean clean plates at the end of the night–it’s great to throw in some healthiness once in a while! Love this idea!
I would be thrilled to find these at a potluck or picnic! The delicious dip would definitely make them dessert for me!
Your dip sounds decadently delicious. A perfect addition to our Fest.
