Pear Cosmopolitan Cocktail Recipe
An exquisite twist on the classic cosmo, these elegant Pear Cosmopolitans with St. Germain are perfect for fall and holiday entertaining!
This Cosmopolitan Recipe is a tasty change of pace for whatever gathering you have planned! My girlfriends loved this festive cocktail.
Pear Cosmopolitans
Besides wine and beer, I like to offer a specialty cocktail when I entertain. These Pear Cosmopolitans were for my November book club gathering. The combination of pears and cranberries sounded perfectly autumnal. And a splash of St. Germain liqueur provided a wonderful complimentary flavor.
Our group has been meeting monthly for 16 years. There have been births of grandchildren, divorces and cancer diagnoses. There has been laughter and tears. But it was the love of books that brought us all together. Plus, our mutual love of entertaining keeps us hopping from house to house, year after year.

What is St. Germain?
I served these in small glasses as, like traditional cosmopolitans and martinis, they pack a good alcohol punch. I introduced my friends to St. Germain liqueur made from elderberry flower blossoms. It really helps bring out the pear flavors and gives a certain je nais sais quois, certainly indescribable. My St. Germain Gin and Tonics were the hit of our 4th of July party! Make sure to check out all my other Classic Cocktail Recipes.
My friends all enjoyed this cosmopolitan recipe, and I passed around the St. Germain for a quick show and tell. Since I now own a lifetime supply, my friends are welcome to come to my door with a measuring cup for enough of this libation to remake the cocktail. My friend and champion mixologist, Anita of Hungry Couple, was the source of this wonderful recipe for Pear Cosmopolitans.
This Pear Cosmopolitan Cocktail Ingredients

- Pear Vodka
- St. Germain Liqueur
- Cranberry Juice (I used Ocean Spray Brand, plain cranberry juice would be too tart)

Just made your recipe with cranberry pear raspberry juice( no plain cranberry juice). Very good. Refreshing.
Great!!! So glad you enjoyed it, Howard. Thanks for reporting back—your substitution sounds delicious!
The pear flavor in this mixer is SO good. Love the combination with cranberry especially. Delicious!
Contrary to what many might believe, I don’t discriminate when it comes to alcohol and it’s good. Pass one my way Liz!
A lifetime supply of St. Germaine?! Only in my dreams! How on earth did you manage that??? My sister introduced me to that deliciousness last year and I seriously LOVE it. If only all of us had a lifetime supply. If you are thinking that one bottle might be a lifetime supply, because this the cosmos are the only recipe you have for it, feel free to message me for ideas. The possibilities are endless! Have a blessed day!
Hi Lizzy, well, I think I can get to your blog now with a few easy clicks instead of 10 unsuccessful. Yey! “:) Cocktail? Yes, sure. I am ready to join your book club!
Sounds like a great drink. It certainly looks terrific. I so rarely use St. Germain — that’s something I should correct, right? 😉 It really tastes delish. Really nice – thanks.
Delicious Love that color Lizzy.
Great cocktail for Christmas! Though I think I would make it for others.. I can handle only wine if I don’t want to have hangover 😀
hey, I didn’t get one :(((((
I saw these on FB and thought they looked so festive and pretty. Christmastime really is the time to indulge in a few cocktails. Perfect for this party season xx
I’ve never had a cosmopolitan before actually. ._.
So festive! Now we all wish we could be in that book club 😉
What a gorgeous cocktail!
How pretty, such a great idea to have a gorgeous and tasty signature cocktail; our’s is a traditional vodka martini, but there are few who can tolerate such an alcoholic cocktail, so we end up with beer and wine.
I always like to prepare a fun cocktails every year fort he holidays, never the same the next year. This one is really great and inspiring. Pear is a great choice. I have not tasted that liqueur, sounds divine.
What fun looking drinks!
A lovely cocktail!
A life supply of St. Germain? How in the world? That stuff is like gold to me. I have a bottle and measure out each tiny glassful like Lucy did with her crystal bottle of healing elixir. When I run out, I’m bringing my measuring cup over!
On another note, pairing it with pear does sound wonderful.
Oh Yum, you have a great book club!!!!
I adore the look of this cocktail. So stylish and festive. I really ought to add a champion mixologist to my friends’ list;)
Beautiful one and great colour!!!
