Frozen Fresh Berry Daiquiris
These scrumptious Frozen Fresh Berry Daiquiris take just minutes to make and will cool you down on the most sultry summer day!
Summer Cocktails
Summer is the perfect time for a slushy cocktail…especially when you have sweet juicy berries at your disposal. The kind folks at Blue Chair Bay Rum sent me a bottle of their premium white rum so I just had to whip up a cool beverage. The fragrant strawberries and luscious raspberries parked in my fridge enticed me into making these frozen fresh berry daiquiris. In college, we just dumped frozen berries, powdered sugar, and rum into a blender. It was time for a more sophisticated recipe.
Frozen Fresh Berry Daiquiris
This is such a simple recipe. You still toss all the ingredients into the blender, but measurements are key! Puree till you reach slushy perfection. Then taste and adjust the ingredients to your palate’s preference. Add more sugar if you like a sweet cocktail or more lime juice if you prefer a bigger hit of citrus. Just make sure you use ripe, sweet berries for the best flavor. Feel free to substitute frozen fruit in the offseason; those results will be terrific, too.

This summer drink would hit the spot!
I would love a large glass of this beautiful summer drink!
I do a low-cal margarita with that light margarita mix and a little regular strawberry margarita mix mixed in. I tried the Crystal Light margarita mix but it just tasted like lemonade.
Mmmmmm summer.
Oh YUM..!! I would go for the coconut rum.
Yum, your daiquiris look so delicious. I would love to try the Coconut rum …. thanks!
Hi Liz, this drink looks so refreshing, love the combination of berries.
Ooo, I’ve just seen another daiquiris on another blog. Both look equally refreshing and perfect. There’s nothing like rum to draw you in, right? And the berries just scream summer. Pity it’s raining here right now, I’d love to sit out in the sun with one of these.
How much can you taste the rum in these, Liz? I’m odd with alcohol – I like Malibu rum, but other white rums (such as Bacardi, not sure if you get that there), I dislike. Curious to see whether you can still taste that strong rum, or whether the flavours of the berries and juice take a lot of the rum flavour away.
Liz, I have to say that the ‘coconut’ calls my name the most. It adds so much more interesting flavor to tropical drinks that my husband and I love. Hey! Going to the Caribbean in March! I’ll have a drink made with Kenny’s special rum and give you a big “cheers” from St. Thomas!
