Spicy Vietnamese Chicken Noodle Soup…Week 3 of French Fridays With Dorie

I’m almost certain I could live off this soup…chicken broth and coconut milk is infused with cilantro stems, star anise and coriander seeds.  There is a little kick from the red chiles, fresh ginger and garlic, but the combination of flavors is totally delightful.  Another winner from Dorie!!!

Recipe can be found in Around My French Table by Dorie Greenspan.

  2. Thanks, everyone!

Nicole, my husband and oldest were not fans…I put in two whole star anise instead of two points, so I think that flavor turned them off.

  3. Thanks for stopping by, everyone! I’m finally getting the hang of taking pictures for the blog. Since my family thinks I’m nuts carrying everything out to the patio (what am I going to do when it snows????), I appreciate all your kind feedback!

  13. Thanks, Jaime. You could be right…some bloggers have posted that it seems more Thai than Vietnamese. I’m no expert, but it WAS delicious!
