It’s time to celebrate the New Year by looking back at the most popular posts of 2017! Let me know your favorites!
Most Popular Posts of 2017
As the end of the year draws near, I love to see which blog posts had the most traffic. In 2017, there was only one savory recipe among my most popular posts, but it came in at a high second place! The rest were sweets, which is certainly no surprise.
#10 Classic Chocolate Peanut Butter No-Bake Cookies
I fell in love with no-bake cookies during my short stint as a baby sitter in junior high. I’d happily just eat the batter out of the pan, but scooping it out into cookies makes it much easier to share.
#9 Homemade Mascarpone
This homemade mascarpone is perfect for making tiramisu and stuffed strawberries, especially when you live in an area where it’s not readily available. Originally posted in 2014, this is the first year to make a top 10 position!
#8 Strawberry Cheesecake Trifle
With Florida strawberry in full swing, this trifle isn’t just for summer months. Made with angel food cake and a cheesecake whipped cream filling instead of custard, it’s a memorable dessert! Save this cranberry version for the holidays!
#7 Best Pound Cake
I discovered this pound cake recipe on Epicurious eons ago. It was Elvis’ favorite pound cake and became mine, too, after my first bite. As you can see it has the perfect dense crumb and is very versatile!
#6 Old-Fashioned Amish Sugar Cookies
I shared these sugar cookies just about a month ago, and already they were baked, pinned and loved by many of my loyal readers. Definitely a winning recipe!
#5 Twix Cheesecake
This Chocolate Caramel Twix Cheesecake made the list for the second year in a row and rightfully so. It’s one of the most decadent desserts I’ve ever made. Served with a generous drizzle of homemade caramel sauce pushes this one over the top!
#4 Stained Glass Cookies
These cookies get lots of attention around the holidays! If you’re able to make cut out sugar cookies, you’ve got this one in the bag! Your friends will be super impressed!!!
#3 Cranberry Fluff Salad
This retro Cranberry Fluff Salad is more like a dessert than a salad, but versions of this graced both my childhood holiday table and my husband’s. It’s worth the splurge!
#2 Spinach Feta Pinwheels
The flavors of spanakopita rolled into puff pastry for an easy, elegant appetizer! No fussy filo and absolutely delicious! No wonder it ranked second in the most popular posts of 2017.
#1 Simple Meringue Cookies
These ethereal, crisp gems have gotten rave reviews across the board. Eat straight up or use to make an Eton Mess. Flavor and or color for special occasions. I have lots of tips for making perfect meringues in this post. These cookies are at the top of my most popular posts of 2017!
