Leek and Potato Soup…French Fridays with Dorie
Another French Friday with Dorie recipe…next up for me was the Leek and Potato Soup. Our December has been cold and snowy, and a bowl of hot soup with dinner sounded so inviting. Unfortunately, I found this rather bland…and adding more salt just made it salty. I chose not to puree the soup (maybe I should have!), and think some extra herbs and even some cream could have improved this dish. The Gruyere croutons were excellent, but I just wasn’t a fan of this recipe…one strike isn’t bad, since I’ve loved everything else from Around My French Table. I’m looking forward to next week!
