Fresh fruit is my idea of a perfect dessert, but adding a decadent dip makes it more elegant and party worthy! And since of Progressive Eats theme is kebabs, pairing a rainbow of skewered fruit with a white chocolate mascarpone dip was the perfect way to end our virtual meal.

Feel free to thread your favorite fruits, even interspersing squares of pound cake or marshmallows, but definitely make this splendid dip. Made with melted white chocolate, cream, mascarpone and a splash of vanilla, it’s a piece of cake to throw together and even easier to make disappear!

Kebab Fest

Kebabs are perfect party fare. Whether for Memorial Day, a grad party or summer picnic, food on stick is easy to eat and oh, so scrumptious! I concocted a similar dip when one of my children graduated from high school.

The fruit kebabs alone were perfect for those who wanted a lighter dessert, and the dreamy white chocolate dip was ideal for the party goers who preferred a more sinful treat! If you’re on the hunt for a low-carb, keto friendly dessert, this chocolate mousse fits the bill deliciously!

And just in time for all the summer gatherings, we’ve compiled a kebab-fest with  a variety of kebabs, bread, sides and desserts. Scroll down to check out our menu—and click on the links to find each enticing recipe.

  1. Kebabs always seem like grown up kid food and who wouldn’t want to be a kid again? Perfect way to start summer.

  2. Think I could skip the other courses and dive into dessert at the Berg residence =) A festival of fruit and pound cake on a skewer looks to be grrrreat. Especially with the white chocolate mascarpone dip. I do admire your fortitude in preferring straight fruit…P.s. I credited you as the inspiration for my Glute-Free Japanese Matcha and Lavender (and White Chocolate) Cake.

  3. I love snacking on fresh fruit this time of year. Adding the dip makes them perfect for parties! Love this idea!

  4. Love these fruity kebabs, dear! They make great party dish! xoxo

  5. It’s always more fun on a stick! 🙂 The dip makes it even more special 🙂

  6. Liz, I think this is the greatest way to serve a dessert to a crowd! You could get them all done ahead and whip them out of the fridge just before serving – my kind of party food! I love the combination of white chocolate and mascarpone, but hadn’t thought of it for a dip, brilliant! A version of this just may show up on one of my Chocolate Monday posts 😉

  7. These fruity kebabs are so colourful, and are a healthy dessert.

  8. I love the combination of mascarpone and fruit. Of course, the white chocolate doesn’t hurt and the whipping cream makes the dip so fluffy and light. Fruit is always a great finish to a meal, and with this fabulous dip, even better.

  9. What is it about fruit kebobs that people just love…you can make a fruit bowl and at the end of the evening there is still fruit in it, but if you put the same amount of fruit into kebobs, there is nary a one left halfway through the party? And a great dip, they disappear even faster. You have a real winner here, so beautifully presented.
