Fresh Tuna, Mozzarella and Basil Pizza

Brace yourselves, fellow Doristas. The hubby has approved of (and actually raved about) THREE, count them, 3 French Friday recipes in a row. Yes, the plates of floating islands were licked clean, this Fresh Tuna, Mozzarella and Basil Pizza (with rare tuna, mind you) disappeared in a flash, and I heard him boasting to his mom about the restaurant worthy entree which will be featured next week. For the second time in as many weeks, Bill has mentioned that Dorie has redeemed herself. It was the pork curry that I wish he’d erase from his memory!

Easy and Elegant

This amazing starter can be prepped ahead of time. The 4 inch rounds of puff pastry can be baked up in the morning and all the toppings can be sliced and parked in the fridge for easy assembly. These taste best fresh out of the oven. This combination of flavors and textures was just extraordinary. The buttery mozzarella, briny olives,  fresh tomatoes, bitter radishes, basil and rare tuna were an incredible treat for my palate. And who doesn’t love puff pastry??? My mind is now swimming with ideas for other pizzas I can make using  these crusts. But for now, this tuna version is at the top of my list.
