The Best Sandwich Recipes for National Sandwich Month
Did you know that August is National Sandwich Month? Whether for a picnic or a back to school lunch, sandwiches are a staple at our house. I’m sharing some marvelous sandwich recipes from some of my favorite bloggers. I know you’ll find one you can’t resist!
Best Sandwich Recipes:
What is your favorite sandwich? Around here we make a lot of peanut butter sandwiches along with ham and cheese, grilled cheese, and turkey. I’m partial to a BLT or Rueben. Perfect for a quick lunch or meal on the go.
Then there are the dessert sandwiches, often cookies filled with ice cream or frosting. Who doesn’t love a whoopie pie?? They’re just mini-cakes sandwiched around a sweet, fluffy icing. Easy, portable, delicious, and the options are endless. Check out some of my blogger friends’ picks, starting with dessert, naturally:

It is hot and muggy here and the last thing I feel like doing is standing over a hot stove. I would be happy with either of these and hope that the Mr. would be too!
Oh yeah, my pick goes to the cookie sandwich! It’s just too cool, dear! xoxo
My faves are the sweet cookie sandwiches, very clever that you have included them into the mix, I totally would not of thought to do the same thing. Me and sandwiches have a long history, years ago when I was working in kitchens, we had a 3 day function for 5500 people, they had sandwiches every day. We were getting to work at around 3am and making sandwiches right up until 11am. It was epic. Still to this day I have memories of putting tomato on for hours and hours and hours. Haha!
I also love a good BLT! Although if I added a little bacon to that pepper jack grilled cheese, it’d be pretty much perfect.
Wow, nice! Great photos!! ๐ Enjoy your weekend, Liz.
I can’t pick just one!! They all look divine and I want to eat all of them!!
My vote goes to the ice cream sandwich ๐
Nice! These all sound great and I love the inclusion of some “sweet sandwiches”!
I consider sandwiches comfort food. They all look so great, but my heart goes to the Marshall Field’s chicken salad (since I’m a Chicago girl)!
I just learned a new thing from you about August being National Sammie month. Lots of good sandwiches to pick from here, Liz. YUM!
